Building Blocks for a Post 2020 Framework
The post pandemic recovery offers an opportunity for communities to integrate biodiversity into policies to strengthen resilience and human development. The current zero draft of the post 2020 framework applies a “theory of change” approach, which requires transformative actions to put in place tools and solutions for implementation, mainstreaming of biodiversity into productive sectors and, eventually, conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity. What actions could Australians commit to and propose to create the enabling conditions and adequate means of implementation, including financial resources, capacity, and technology.
